 What Your Dollar Can Do

Each year, high school students spend countless hours logoring - whether to fulfill their school’s community service requirement or just because they want to give back.  Many young people continue to volunteer over the summer, when they have more time to devote to pursuits other than studying. United Way is proud to announce our partnership in a new resource for students that makes it easy for youth to find volunteer opportunities designed just for them. is a free website designed for high school students who want to find volunteer opportunities, and track their community service hours for school credit. Since it is 100% focused on student volunteering, teachers and parents know that all the opportunities posted by our agency partners are suitable for their teens. helps youth find volunteer opportunities, helps agencies find great young volunteers, and helps high schools identify community service offerings for their students.  For more information, contact Suzette O’Brien by phone at 887-2744 or by e-mail at
